#Tohtoročné Oscary už majú svojich majiteľov. Bol to rok streamovacích služieb, čo dokazovala najmä snímka The Power of the Dog z produkcie Netflixu, ktorá bola nominovaná až 12-krát. Z ceremónie si však sošku odniesla len režisérka Jane Campion. Dohromady až 6 Oscarov patrí technikom úžasného blockbusteru Duna, ktorý sa zaslúžene stal najoceňovanejším filmom večera.
Apple však prepísal oscarovú históriu, keď ako prvá streamovacia služba (Apple TV+) vyhrala hlavnú kategóriu najlepší film. CODA si okrem toho prevzala aj cenu za najlepší scenár a vedľajšieho herca.
